After the long wait, more than 75,000 visitors filled the exhibition halls. Thanks to the proverbial hospitality, the LTE stand also invited a record-breaking number of visitors to stop and linger: for example with a communicative highlight, as CEO Andreas Mandl tackled a hot topic and invited numerous bright minds for discussion.

Rail sucks? Do railroad annoy us? On Wednesday, the second day of the trade fair this apparently provocative question was answered by big players in the European railway industry. Steffen Bobsien, Jörn Bobzien, Gerhard Eibinger, Johann Feindert, Eike Grundmann, Otto Hawlicek, Christian Kern, Howard Lamb, Johann Pluy, Jochen Weber were invited to present their points of view in three discussions with Neele Wesseln as moderatress.
These representatives from the areas of infrastructure, customers and resources were once again united with their desire for more unanimity in Europe. Everyone agreed that it is not the lack of spirit for innovation, but simplifying and standardizing of the complex set of railroad-rules is the major challenge, starting with IT solutions and the resulting licensing procedures, regulations or, for example, an european-wide uniform language.
Even the specialist audience is fascinated again and again of diving into the complex world of logistics - an opportunity offered by the discussants, who ultimately presented a fruitful combination of passenger and freight rail-transport and decribed the daily challange of road and rail-transports as demanding as it is colorful.
In addition to the big stage, the meeting areas at the LTE-stand again proved their worth being centers for getting together, seeing each other again, exchanging ideas with international colleagues and for getting to create new connections as the Managing Directors and Sales Managers of the LTE-group agreed on this in unison during and after the trade fair.
Accordingly, after a few days of reflection, the LTE-group can summarize that, in the midst of the numerous exhibitors from almost 70 countries, it has thrown a dedicated spot on Europe. As a bottom line a classic "and yet it moves” may be reported - of course sometimes with more demand for speed.
