LTE BG - Happy Birthday!

Just one year after Daniela Karanesheva started her operative business as MD in LTE BG, she is able to look back on some successes for the LTE-group thanks to consistency, experience, excellent contacts, but also patience: Happy Birthday!

These virtues may be typical for the people of Bulgaria, because they are - proven by findings thousands of years old - considered to be the first Europeans. So some of Daniela's words about her way to success in the LTE-group sound like "from long time ago". "In Bulgaria the political and social situation is sometimes complicated to deal with," she sums up diplomatically, “Times are changing, everything is progressing, but slowly. It takes a lot of patience.” One example is the Europe-wide awareness of shifting traffic from road to rail. “Our problem is that loading-terminals are almost non-existent throughout the country, although admittedly there are efforts to change this situation. The only things missing are the necessary space, money and time to quickly realize these plans. In the meantime, the transports are therefore mostly still carried out on the road, which is not least due to a strong truck lobby.”

Despite these and all other current challenges that need to be mastered, Daniela can look back on some successes that she has achieved in the last year for LTE BG, but also for the LTE-group. Although the terrible events move us and the region, “life must go on. We had to learn to deal with the war in Ukraine and the terrible earthquake in Turkey. For example, I recently spoke to a man who had to bury his entire family in one fell swoop: he had to attend 19 funerals in a single day.”

On the edge of Europe, Daniela brilliantly manages to push the boundaries of the LTE network a little further: “I have already been able to conclude contracts with Serbian railway companies and also with Turkish partners. In order to be able to fulfill this at a reasonable price for our clientele, I am pleased to have another locomotive at hand soon in order to be able to meet the geographical and landscape challenges economically as well.” she also gladly reports on another destination that is within reach, because it fits perfectly in the philosophy of LTE. "One of the next goals is the axis Turkey - Bulgaria - Serbia. At the moment we are driving to Italy via Slovakia, non-stop! Incidentally, a project realised with my first customer,” she says happily and is already thinking of a new challenge in the eastern network: transports from Turkey via Bulgaria and Romania.

You can't deny her many years of experience, neither in the route network in Europe nor when the crew has to be expanded according to the requirements. "I don't really have a problem with that: if it is necessary to recruit someone as an employee, then I will find him/her. I know enough people in the industry who would like to dock with LTE. And with us there are no further requirements apart from competence, know-how and collegiality. The job is done just in time, if necessary we can reach each other at night as well - it's faster, believe me..."

Well, then it remains to be seen what Daniela plans to do in her free time: “I really like to travel. Bulgaria is an incredibly beautiful country, so you can go hiking in the mountains,  relax, enjoy our culture that is thousands of years old, go skiing, or to the Black Sea ... And when my son in Germany runs out of bulgarian delicacies, my husband and I visit him to fill up his pantry with the specialties from home. We are also regularly drawn to Switzerland, and I am so pleased that we have welcomed a new family member of the LTE-group. There will be plenty of the best Swiss chocolate at the transport logistic fair in Munich..."

Finally, the author was invited to visit Bulgaria and "the extremely hospitable" people soon, because "I like to show my guests a little bit more to get the right impression of my country," says Daniela. Now that a high-calorie supply will be taken care of, it is now time to get moving: moveo, ergo sum.
